Downings Warehouse is a complex of four buildings. Originally constructed in the mid-1800s, the buildings had become derelict and initial enabling works were carried out in 2020 to make the site safe pending its redevelopment.
A new application has been submitted for 117 apartments in a new 10-storey tower and a separate reconstructed warehouse building. They are now being completely re-constructed and it is hoped work will commence on site in early 2024.
